HISTORY OF THE PLAYSCHOOL

The 'Over The Rainbow' playschool was set up in 1991. It is run by Mary Collins and Frances Hahessy. It is located on the Barefield National School premises.

Although the prefab they teach in now was not always their room, Mr. Dennis Liddy was the original teacher in this prefab. Then the playschool was in the now old section of the main school in a little classroom barely six by six feet approx. Back then they had only very few children, they now support about sixteen to eighteen children in the wooden prefab.
