Sinéad Ginnane hails from Athlone, Co. Westmeath. She attended St. Patrick's College of Education, Dublin and was awarded a B.Ed. degree in 1989 . Having taught in Athlone for nine years, Sinéad relocated to Co. Clare and was delighted to secure a teaching position in Barefield N.S. in 1999.
During her first year in Barefield N.S., Sinéad co-ordinated the S.I.P. national Computer Project within the school. This provided an opportunity to explore the teaching of modern languages using Information and Communication Technology.
Sinéad has a particular "grá" for Gaeilge and strives to foster an appreciation of Irish culture and traditions amongst her students. An active member of Ennis Players, Sinéad enjoys the Arts, both on a personal level and by encouraging children's participation in art, music and drama.
Sinéad has worked with the Primary Curriculum Support Programme giving courses to teachers on Mathematics & Science.
