Tina hails form Tuam, Co Galway. She received her education in Tobberoe N.S. and at the Presentation College, Tuam. She furthered her studies at the M.I.C.E, Limerick.

She has lived in Ennis for the past twenty years and worked in both the mainstream and variety of special education settings. Tina broadened her experience by working and teaching in Western Australia form 1989 - 1992. Drawing from her experience and belief in further education she devised a training course for teachers in aspects of Special Needs Education. In recent years she has achieved certificates in the Psychology of Councelling and Development Education. Tina is interested in music, fitness and is a keen reader.
