Happy World Ocean Day! Today is usually a special day at our school. Last year, pupils and staff dressed in blue.  Carmel Madigan (Explorers Education Marine Institute), Róisín Garvey (An Taisce), Hugh O’ Malley (Achill Oysters) and Joe Queally (RNLI) visited the school and worked with the children. There was a fabulous exhibition, all pupils had a ‘waste free lunch’ and the school choir sang a beautiful rendition of ‘Under the Sea.’

Unfortunately, this year we are not at school for World Ocean Day but we are still asking you to remember how important our oceans are and to celebrate them today.
