A big Welcome to all the pupils in our Blossom and Bloom room. We had a busy summer getting ready everything for the first day of school. We have a fantastic new room and we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
School re-opens Wednesday, August 28th @ 9.20 a.m. In the meantime have a lovely summer and a most enjoyable holiday. We look forward to meeting all our regular pupils and a 'céad míle fáilte' awaits all our new pupils.

This has been a very successful year for Barefield National School and our Marine Environment Initiatives. The staff and pupils participated in World Oceans Day 2019 which was celebrated in many schools throughout the world in early June. We marked the occasion on Wednesday, the 12th of June. Today was a very busy morning in Barefield N.S. when we welcomed parents of new infants, new pupils enrolling in higher classes and pupils enrolling in our ASD class. Our Playschool children had a very exciting morning when their pet Harry went missing. They searched the whole school, the computer room, the Library, our Secretary's Office, classrooms, and eventually they found him chatting with Mr.Burns. They were so delighted. Mr. Burns gave them a little treat for all their hard work.
